Kitchen Gardening Shortcuts that Work
If you haven't planned your spring and summer kitchen garden yet, it is not too late, but there is no time to waste.
So take some shortcuts, starting with my list of recommended varieties. They are all easy to grow, have multiple uses (the herbs), are nutrient dense (the veggies), and they all give you a high yield per area.
Next start working on your monthly gardening calendar or To-Do List. Again, copy my Kitchen Garden To-Do List and adapt it to your own needs. It will save you lots of time.
Then pay your local garden centre a visit and get some plants to give your garden of plenty an early start as well as some seeds for a follow up crop.
If you want to garden in a slightly more organized and productive way then start by keeping a garden diary. Next, consider getting some proper help with starting your garden of plenty.
The South African Herb Growers Guide is a practical, step by step approach to planting your own herb garden and harvesting the fruits of your labour. Because herbs are grown for cooking or for health, or both, how the herbs are grown is very important.
Or if you are really serious about having a really productive garden this year then get the Start a Garden of Plenty home study course.
